rise和raise的区别口诀

　　raise和rise在使用时很容易混淆，区分它们的口诀为：日、月、云、雾、烟、热气，起立、起床与起义，物价、河水、温度计；皆由 rise 升上去。抬头、举手、举重物，再如温度与水平，raise宾语跟着出，还有音、价与觉悟。

　　1、raise和rise的用法区别

　　1、属性不同

　　（1）raise：属于及物动词，后面要加宾语。例如：The price of eggs was raised.鸡蛋价格上涨了。

　　（2）rise：属于不及物动词，后面可以不加宾语。例如：The price of eggs rised.鸡蛋价格上涨了。

　　2、意思不同

　　当表示人或物体从低处往高处“抬高、上升”时。

　　（1）raise：指人让事物升高，例句：He raised his hand to wave.他举手挥动起来。

　　（2）rise：指事物自身可以升高、上升，例句：He watched the smoke rise from his cigarette.他注视着烟雾从香烟上升起。

　　3、用法不同

　　（1）raise：在美式英语里表示薪水的增加用raise。

　　（2）rise：在英式和美式英语中都可以表示上升、升起或者（数量等的）增加，而在英式英语里，还可以表示薪水的增加。

　　2、rise和raise的用法例句

　　raise是及物动词，所以后面一定要接宾语。其主要含义有“升起；举起；饲养；提出；筹集”。如：

　　The guesture might come from Rome, when people raise the right hand to show their extolling and respect for the empire. （这一手势有可能来自罗马，那时人们将右臂举起以表示对帝王的称颂或敬意。）

　　Many western countries raise and butcher a large number of beef cattle. （许多西方国家饲养并屠宰大量的肉牛。）

　　The first thing that we did when we conquered the town was to haul down the enemy's flag and raise our own. （我们占领这座城市以后以后所做的第一件事就是降下城里敌人的旗帜，升起我们自己的旗帜。）

　　I had asked everyone to raise questions in advance of the meeting. （我要求大家在会议前提出问题。

　　Our campaign's main purpose is to raise money. （我们这次活动的主要目的就是募款。）

　　rise是不及物动词，所以后面不接宾语。其常见含义有“上升；增加；起床；反抗；复活”。如：

　　The king's cruelty excited the people to rise against him. （那个国王的残酷激起了人民起来反对他。）

　　Christians believe that Jesus rose from the dead on Easter Sunday. （基督徒相信耶稣在那个星期日——后定为复活节——里复活了。）

　　The sun heats the earth, causing the air to rise and the winds to blow. （太阳给地球热量，引起空气上升,刮起风来。）

　　In proportion as the sales increase the profit will rise. （随着销售量增长，利润也成比例地增加。）

　　The next morning I was the first to rise. （第二天早上，我是第一个起床的。）
